The StandardSSL certificate can be used on single domain websites. The common name within the certificate has to be a fully qualified domain name that consist of a registered domain and top domain, e.g. website.com, website.net, etc.
You will always have the opportunity to re-issue the certificate within the certificates lifespan. This can be good if the server crashes or if you are changing the server environment. If you place an order to us, and mention that you need a re-issue of a current certificate, we will do this free of charge. it’s important to note that the Common Name within the certificate cannot be changed when re-issuing the certificate. .

Is it an internal site that needs to be secured? This domain validated certificate is slightly cheaper than the standard one, and it’s possible because we only validate the ownership of the domain.

Any additional SAN that is added, will be priced in accordance to the remainder of the certificates vaildity. A great new feature on the Exchange platform, is that this certificate now supports the Microsoft Exchange Autodiscover function. This allows for easier maintenance of the certificate.
The StandardSSL UC certificate is a company validated certificate, and this means that we will validate your company before underwriting the certificate and add the company’s address to the certificate. This will make this certificate best for public sites, but can of course be used on internal sites as well.

This WildCard certificate requires both company and domain validation before the certificate is underwritten and issued by us.
The maximum lifetime of a WildCard certificate is 3 years before it needs to be renewed.
If the server crashed or you are changing server environment, you can always get the certificate re-issued, at no additonal cost. The CN cannot be changed when re-issuing the certificate.
